The Calendar legend is one or several lines of rich word processing text that will appear at the top of every view and printout of your Calendar. It is useful for sharing information, messages, guidelines, and abbreviations, that you would like displayed throughout your Calendar regardless of the Calendar View. You have the ability to add links and some limited formatting options to your Calendar legends. Learn more about using Calendar legends.

By default, only the owner of the calendar is able to edit the calendar legend. However, if you give edit rights to your calendar to others then they will be able to edit your calendar legend. This can be useful if you or your visitors need to keep notes at the top of your calendar.
To allow visitors to edit your calendar legend you will first need to give them edit rights. Once you've given them edit rights you'll need to follow the steps in the image below:
Once you've turned this feature on your visitors will now see a pencil icon next to the calendar legend. When they click on this icon they'll see a pop-up dialog where they can edit the text of the calendar legend. See the image below:
