Keep&Share’s sorting functions help you to quickly arrange your addresses so that you are seeing only the contacts you want to see in the order that you want to see them. If you need to find all of the addresses from a certain state or only the addresses whose last names begin with the letter “F,” you can use the sorting functions. These sorting functions are based on two things: the column titles that show up at the top of your Address Book and the alphabetical drop-down menu.

Sorting addresses using columns

You can sort through all of your addresses using any field of information that is available in your addresses. The information fields include options such as first name, last name, state, address, phone number, company, etc.

By clicking on any of the gray categories above your addresses, you can sort your addresses by that category. For example, if you click on the “State” category all addresses will then be listed by state in alphabetical order.

You can also sort alphabetically by first name or by last name for all of your contacts, from A-Z or from Z-A. By default, your contacts will be arranged in alphabetical order by the last name from A to Z. By clicking on the gray “Name” column title you can change how the addresses are sorted. See the image below:

If there is a field of information that you want to sort by, but you do not see that column showing up in your Address Book, you will need to change your “Customize & Share” settings so that field will show up. Learn more about changing what fields show up in Card View and what fields show up in List View.

Sorting addresses using the alphabetical drop-down menu

Above your addresses is an alphabetical drop-down menu. You can only sort by first and last name using the alphabetical drop-down menu. You can click on the “Name” column title to switch sorting by first name or last name. For example, if you wanted to find all of your contacts that have a first name that starts with a “P” you would first click on the “Name” column title and then select the “P” button from the alphabetical drop-down menu. See the image below:

You can click on the "A-Z” button in the alphabetical drop-down menu to return to seeing all of your addresses in your Address Book.

You can use your sorting tools to find whatever addresses you need to find. You can even export and print your results in the order that you sorted them.
